Rehabilitating The Body To Care For The Mind
Embracing physical wellness through rehabilitation not only rebuilds the body but also nurtures mental well-being. By prioritizing rehabilitation, our residents not only regain physical strength but also cultivate a positive mindset and improve their quality of life.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is often prescribed for residents who have recently suffered an injury or undergone surgery. PT helps an individual improve how their body performs physical movements. Not only will PT allow a resident to regain movement, but it is also effective in managing symptoms like pain, stiffness, and discomfort.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy helps individuals improve their communication and language skills so they are better able to speak and comprehend what is being spoken to them. Often, speech therapy is prescribed after a medical event such as a stroke or seizure. In some instances, ST can also improve memory and problem-solving skills for our residents.
